Internationals Bergfilm-Festival Tegernsee (International Mountain Film Festival Tegernsee)

The International Mountain Film Festival Tegernsee was founded in 2003 as the first mountain film festival in Germany featuring a competition. There are prizes in several categories – Mountain Experience, Mountain Nature, Mountain Life, an ‘Extra’-category with a different thematic focus every year – and one for young directors; all concerning the subject of ‘mountains’. An international jury selects the winning films. Additionally, there are ‘special mentions’ for the ‘Most Convincing Landscape Pictures’, the ‘Best Camera’ and the ‘Exceptional Film’.

During five action-packed days in October, films are screened in four venues around the picturesque town of Tegernsee.

When: yearly on the third week(end) in October.
