The International Mountain & Adventure Filmfestival Graz was founded in 1986 by the mountaineer and film-maker Robert Schauer. Starting out as a gathering of professional producers and alpinists, it expanded to an annual happening that attracts a multitude of people. Every year a diversified programme is composed from submissions from over 30 countries. In the Festival’s international competition a jury awards the “Alpine Camera in Gold” in five categories and the “Grand Prix Graz” for the best production.
