Since its establishment in 1987, Sondrio Festival has been promoting the awareness and interest for the Nature, and the importance of its preservation through the powerful tool of documentary: amazing nature films set in stunning national parks, nature reserves and protected areas from around the world are specifically selected by our Scientific Committee for the public screenings at the Teatro Sociale Theatre and via streaming on our website.

We also organize side events such as exhibitions, workshops, meetings with filmmakers and special guests for the general festival audience, as well as educational activities dedicated to primary, secondary and high schools. Every year over 10.000 students take part in these projects.

Thanks to the contributions of both private and public sponsors all activities are free of charge.
