Since its establishment in 1987, Sondrio Festival has been promoting the awareness and interest for the Nature, and the importance of its preservation through the powerful tool of documentary. Every year around 24.000 people gather in Sondrio, Italy, to enjoy beautiful documentaries filmed in stunning national parks, nature reserves and protected areas from around the world, specifically selected by our Scientific Committee for the festival audience.
Additionally, we organize side events such as exhibitions, shows, meetings with filmmakers and special guests for the general festival audience, as well as educational activities dedicated to primary, secondary and high schools. Annually, some 10.000 students take part in these projects.
All our festival activities are free of charge, thanks to the contributions of both private and public sponsors.
Film screenings, meetings, shows, seminars and exhibitions for the whole duration of the Festival.
